I STRONGLY encourage you to bring your children to this social event. They will have great board games, cards, toys, and an art table to entertain themselves while enjoying some friend-time along with you.

We often have door prizes including great discounts and free stuff from our sponsors.  Anyone who wants to donate a door prize should contact me first.

    --------------------------------------------------

We are so lucky to keep a core group of friends repeatedly coming who are from diverse backgrounds, professions, and cultural heritage.

We welcome ALL, WITH NO COST, and we are "accessible" to all at the Sequoya Library.

So what is it all about?

Okay, the idea is pretty cool.  Where else do you go and feel comfortable talking with anyone else in the entire room and they may speak with you as well?  How many of these places exist outside your usual social circles?

That is what makes Friends Wanted!  Permission to speak to each other.

Our meeting room is state-of-the-art executive suite quality, newly remodeled.  We provide the hot and cold beverages and friends can bring any simple snack or treat to share on our refreshments table.

    What do I do?

Come in and go to the refreshments table for a name tag and some goodies. Get a beverage and sit at any one of the tables with any group. Introduce yourself and simply listen and join in on the conversation or bring up one of your own topics when the time comes.

    How do I make friends?

Well, there are volumes I could write about this, but one of the keys to any friendship is CONSISTENCY in meeting together.  That is why Friends Wanted! meets 2nd and 4th Fridays every month at the Sequoya Library, 6:30-8:30 ONGOING.

Are there other times we meet?

EVERY WEEK ON TUESDAYS IS OUR COFFEE CHAT at the EVP Coffee house on MINERAL POINT RD. next door to the Village Bar.  It is a first-come-first-serve for 10 people who RSVP and show...they get a FREE cup of coffee from any of the coffee bar selections, compliments of our sponsor, and EVP owner Tracy!  (Just be sure to tip the barista when you can).

    What do we talk about?

Every meeting we post a suggested conversation topic based on friendships you can either chose to discuss, but mostly people just CHAT!

Listen, talk, make sure no one is left out in our room, and mingle with those who maybe don't want to be the first ones to make the move.

Most importantly...have fun...it is almost a guarantee you will leave happier than when you walked in...or your money back (don't worry...it is always free and open to the public as one of our bylaws...and it always will be)

Sounds Great! Tell me exactly what to expect and is expected of me?
