Welcome all to #FrontEndParty 7! This month's title comes via Oseberg ( http://oseberganalytics.com ), who has lovingly decided to help us restore our food / drink supplies by sponsoring us this week.

Also, we have been gifted with 50 free LinuxCon (http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/linuxcon-north-america) tickets, so if that's your bag, go to this link:

https://www.regonline.com/register/checkin.aspx?EventId=1152439&MethodId=0&EventSessionId=&startnewreg=1

and use the coupon code "LCNAFEP13" on the first page to sign up. They are first come, first serve.

For those who have not attended before, #FrontEndParty the first NOLA front-end developer / designer meetup group. On the last Thursday of each month, we host three presentations (between 5 to 15 minutes each) on the front-end world from developers and designers around New Orleans.

For our next meetup, on August 29th (this Thursday), we'll have these talks lined up:

George Mauer

Developer Extraordinaire @ @togakangaroo (http://twitter.com/togakangaroo)

George will be presenting on a new Javascript widget he's created to help assisting in preserving state across page components. You can check out the plugin beforehand at: https://bitbucket.org/togakangaroo/ow.persiststate

Nick Noble

Creative Director @ Laynap Creative (http://lanyapcreative.com/)

Nick is going to give us an in-depth intro into color theory and understanding how color works in design, on the web, and on your screen.

Mark D'Arensbourg

Front-End Developer @ Archon Information Systems (http://archoninfosys.com/)

Mark is going to us the low-down on gruntjs, a fantastic task runner for helping automate repetitive front-end related work.

Meetups start at around 7:00pm at The Dojo ( http://www.dojo.la/dojola/home ) in the Exchange Centre at 935 Gravier Street, Suite 1650 (go to the 16th floor and look for the Ninja on the door). These details and more can be found at http://www.frontendparty.com (http://www.frontendparty.com/)

Look forward to seeing yall there!
