2013-2014 Member's Showcase

Chichén Itzá in México. Very warm day with a LOT of tourists. Used a Rokinon 14mm f/16, 1 /2000, IS0 100. Tried to get the entire pyramid along with some lens flare . Comments welcome.

Beautiful shot. I was there many years ago and opted to send the camera up to the top with my son while I stayed down below and watched him climb those stairs!

With such a precise geometric subject, I really enjoy that you chose to make this a very symmetrically balanced composition. The puffy clouds are great and again you chose to have them very well balanced. The slight vignette also is balanced and keeps me nicely in the photo. Very nice photo

Great subject matter. I do like how you have clouds on both sides of the image to give the image balance. I am feeling like the image is tilting down to the left and the clouds are a bit bright. I see areas of the clouds that are blown out. When shooting a scene like this I find its best to push your exposure up just before your histagram blows out and that will not only keep all the info you need to process the image it will also allow you keep the details in the stone as well. I feel this image has a lot of potential it just needs a little work.
