About the Event

Join us for this truly one-of-a-kind event and learn about our history of educating children (and adults!) about animals in need. Enjoy a temporary exhibition featuring the museum’s collection of humane education artifacts, make arts & crafts that help animals, explore the Panorama’s exhibits and garden, munch on vegan treats, and partake in a special presentation by Dr. Keri Cronin, curator of the museum’s exhibit, “Be Kind: A Visual History of Humane Education, 1880 – 1945” . Dr. Cronin’s lecture will focus on the importance of the visual in animal advocacy and showcase some truly stunning examples from the 18th – 20th centuries. The event will also showcase what humane education looks like today.
