ABOUT OUR PRIVATE CHARTERED YACHT TOUR OF CROATIA:
Don't miss this Amazing opportunity of a Lifetime to see the World's Hottest Destination... and the best way to explore Croatia, is by boat...
Small ships offers a more intimate cruising experience. The Karizma allows for access to the relatively small ports, harbors and inlets, providing unique views of the landscape and surroundings. Our tour includes our own "Private Chartered 5-star Yacht" - so the itinerary has been customized to maximize our time in each port.
We spend the night in each port- as we spend most of the Day and All Night in each port- so we maximize our time- exploring the town by Day and Evening for dinner and nightlife. We only travel 1-3 hours (depending on each port) each morning to the next destination. For those that don't like cruises- we are cruising close to shore- mostly in sight of shore with minimal waves or motion- and cruise 1-3 hours each morning. The convenience of our Yacht means we don't travel by bus or change hotels during our 7 Night Yacht Cruise- allowing for more time in each area we visit.
<Plitvice National Park & Waterfalls is where we will spend several hours hiking and exploring on our way to Zagreb>
<See what Rick Steves says about Plitvice National Park>
<The city of Dubrovnik has been a thriving independent merchant republic for 700 years, and rival to Venice. Today it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. ABOUT CROATIA... THE HOTTEST DESTINATION IN THE WORLD NOW!
Croatia, known as unspoiled and the "Pearl of the Adriatic Sea", it is one of the most popular places in the world to visit! It is quite simply one of the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean combining a spectacular coastline with the translucent waters of the Adriatic. There are 1185 islands in Croatia and 1778 kilomters of coastline- with only 50 islands are inhabited. It would be almost impossible to view the Adriatic from any point on the Croatian coastline without being able to see an island raising from the powerful and beautiful blue breadth.
The towns and cities of Croatia have plenty to offer as well. Dubrovnik is one of Croatia's southern-most cities and the starting point for our tour! George Bernard Shaw said of Dubrovnik, "If you want to see heaven on earth, come to Dubrovnik." He wasn't the last admirer of this beautiful town. The city has enjoyed a resurgence as of late thanks to the hit television series "Game of Thrones," which shoots many of its episodes here and where we will visit these on our visit.

Our next destination is Trstenik on the Peljesac Peninsula, where we’ll visit this quaint Dalmatian Coast village on foot. We will visit Grgich winery, owned by legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Croatian‐born Miljenko “Mike” Grgich. Wines produced here have been judged to be ''VRHUNSKA VINA'' (top premium wines), and his 1996 PLAVAC MALI has twice been recognized as the BEST red Croatian wine on the market. Our group will have a wine tasting with prosciutto, cheese and marinated fish and have an opportunity to bring home a bottle or two. Late afternoon we will continue to Korcula, the acclaimed birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Surrounded by medieval walls, Korčula resembles a miniature Dubrovnik when approaching from the sea. The town has more legends, tales and monuments than you can find anywhere else. Today, Korčula is the only place in the world where the Spanish medieval Knight’s game – Moreška – is still performed. Late Afternoon, join us for a guided tour of Korcula town. You will walk through narrow, shady, cobbled streets having an opportunity to visit the majestic 15th century Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St Mark on Korcula`s main square. ☆ Day 5: Monday, June 26, 2017; Depart Korcula – Hvar
This morning we head towards the island of Hvar, the longest and sunniest Adriatic island, a favorite destination for jet setters from all around the world. Hvar offers many cultural and historical sites ‐ Renaissance cathedral, the oldest communal theater in Europe founded in 1612, Franciscan monastery, the Benedictine convent famous for their lace listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Španjola Fortress towering above the town. Our Hvar walking city tour visits the Theater, Cathedral and Benedictine monastery followed by a walk up to Španjola Fortress where our group will enjoy a private get-together with live music, wine sampling and snacks. Tonight, dinner is on your own in the many restaurants, bars and nightclubs you will find in Hvar. Overnight in Hvar. (B,L)
☆ Day 6: Tuesday, June 27, 2017; Depart Hvar – Arrive Vis
Our next destination is the island of Vis, which is the oldest established town in Dalmatia, founded in 397 B.C. As a result of being occupied by the Austrians and the Italians, Vis has some gorgeous architect that has recently started to be carefully renovated. The island also has a strong military history with the British having a base here in WWII and then the Yugoslav army closed the island off to the public for 30 years. As a result Vis has many traditions that have strongly remained and have shown no signs of over developing tourism and has a special charm, different from other islands in Croatia. Our day and evening in Vis allows for several hours of free time to explore this beautiful island… or you may choose to join us for an “optional sea kayaking adventure”, that explores the famous Green Grotto and Stiniva Bay. We spend the night in Vis, to maximize our time here and depart early morning.
☆☆☆ OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: KAYAKING GREEN GROTTO & STINIVA BAY☆☆☆
<Explore the amazing Green Grotto by Kayak in Vis!>
Transfer by van or jeep to Rukavac bay on the southern side of the island. We will start from this bay towards the Green Cave which is located on the side of the island of Ravnik facing the open sea. The cave is characteristic for a visible green light beam coming from the opening on its top and breaking in the sea. The cave has two entrances similar to portals and is very spacious. Upon entering you will see the lively green pillar. After visiting the Green Grotto we will row to the bay of Stiniva – the most attractive bay on the island of Vis. We will reach it through a narrow passage and discover its real beauty. As if enclosed by powerful tall rocks, where age-old pine trees stand as guards, there is only the beach and a couple of small fishermen’s houses wrapped in a world of their own. Swimming and light lunch in Stiniva bay.
☆ Day 7: Wednesday, June 28, 2017 Depart Vis – Arrive Bol on Brac Island
Early morning we head to Bol on Brac Island, said to have the most beautiful beach in Croatia. Brac Island (pronounced "Bratch") is the longest and most elevated island in central Dalmatia. Despite its proximity to Split, Brac is less touristy than the glittering islands of Hvar and Korcula further south. No celebrities or tycoons glide their yachts into Brac harbors nor do politicians stroll village steets. For that reason, it provides an excellent window into authentic island life, particularly in the interior. Evening and dinner at leisure on Brac. We spend the night in Bol, to maximize our time here and depart early morning.
☆ Day 8: Thursday, June 29, 2017; Depart Bol – Arrive Split
Our next destination is Split, the capital of Dalmatia. In Split, join us for a guided tour of the historical city center enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage and built around and inside the Roman Emperor Diocletian‘s Palace. The Palace itself is a huge complex from which medieval Split later developed including all the adjacent buildings that were built after the Roman times. Evening and dinner at your leisure. We overnight in Split (B,L)
☆ Day 9: Friday, June 30, 2017; Depart Split – Arrive Zadar
We will sail to Zadar and have lunch onboard. In the late afternoon, join our guided tour of Zadar. Zadar’s historic center is a compact pedestrian zone, perfect to explore on foot and admire defensive walls built in 16th century by Venetians as a defense from Turks. You will see 16th century Port Gate where Venetian lion (symbol of Venice) still guards the entrance, Square of the 5 Wells, Church of St. Donat, Roman Forum (1st century BC) and the biggest Cathedral in Dalmatia - St. Anastasia Cathedral.
Overnight stay in Zadar and free evening for you to explore the many shops, cafes and find a local restaurant for dinner. (B,L)
☆ Day 10: Sat. July 1, 2017; Depart Zadar – Plitvice Waterfalls – Arrive Zagreb
Disembarkation after breakfast. Our group transfers to Croatia’s famous Plitvice National Park for several hours. A truly enchanting experience, with more than a dozen lakes, 16-tier waterfalls and countless flowing rivers encompassing the park. Your private guide will be with you to make sure you capture the ultimate views and to provide you with an abundance of information for a true learning experience. Your tour of Plitvice will conclude with a boat ride back across one of the main lakes, where you can see all the beauty from a different perspective. Plitvice Lakes National Park is truly a spectacular natural wonder of the world. We continue onto Zagreb, where we spend 2 nights here. (B)
☆ Day 11: Sun. July 2, 2017; Zadar – Farewell to Croatia Dinner
Discover the beautiful capital city of Croatia, which is situated in the northwest part of the country. Zagreb was founded in 1094 and is currently a growing central European metropolis, home to around[masked] people. With a charming medieval 'old city' whose architecture and cobbled streets resemble other major European cities, it still holds the feeling of a warm city, built around a quaint center square. Explore the daily markets and historical middle-aged upper town on a privately guided tour. Sit for coffee or rakija (a popular Croatian liquor) and do as the locals do, on the famous Tkalciceva Street located just off the main square. Spend the afternoon exploring Zagreb. Tonight is our Farewell to Croatia Dinner, where we will dine on authentic Croatian cuisine. Overnight in Zagreb. (B, D)
☆ Day 12: Monday, July 3, 2017; Depart Zadar – Depart for USA
What an amazing 12 days we spent in Croatia… but it’s time to head home and back to reality… but the memories of this beautiful country and the new friends we met will last a lifetime! (B, Dinner on Trans-Atlantic flight)
