Topic: does online dating make it harder to find the one?
Cost: free, so you have nothing to lose.
I kept missing our chief organizer Chanil’s philosophy happy hours, so I decided to host one for this group. Since most of you are new to this group’s events, let’s have an ice-breaker to make it more welcoming. On your name tag, please write down your name and a short answer (no essays, please!) to the question “does online dating make it harder to find the one?”--Yes/no/maybe/whatever (either the word “whatever”, or whatever your short answer is). Trust me, it’s much easier to talk to strangers and mingle around with this ice-breaker.
Rule of thumb: don’t fight. Or in Chanil’s words, all participants are expected to be civil and respectful. We are not here to win, but rather to know new people through intellectual and fun discussions. Please feel free to share your stories, your friends’ stories, or stories of yours pretending to be stories of others ;). You are also more than welcome to mingle as usual.
The venue (Coffee at The Point) offers a wide selection of beer & wine and has 30+ free covered parking off Washington Street. Their sandwiches are also pretty good! Please look for meetup and Facebook signs at the back area to check in with staff members. Be there and let’s have some fun!
