Paul Huthcheson's New Year's Eve Show

Spend New Years Eve with Paul Hutcheson and friends...

Comic Paul Hutcheson and burlesque performer Sharon Nowlan, creators of the popular and provocative Canuck Cabaret, which has been produced across Canada and the United States, bring their particular mix of dance/monologue/cabaret/performance. On New Year's Eve, Paul and Sharon will be joined by dynamic performers Kristian Reimer and Katie Hood.

PAUL HUTCHESON has often been compared to Jim Carrey, "only not obnoxious" - CBC
"His blending of autobiography and story-telling makes him a queer ambassador who evokes the funny and the profound."

SHARON NOWLAN (PRAIRIE FIRE) has been creating, performing, and producing her own brand of performance art for the past 8 years. She is thrilled to be back in Ottawa, at the beautiful Gladstone Theatre, to welcome in 2014 with style! Thanks to Dave Dawson for the opportunity, and special thanks to Paul Hutcheson, for inviting her to play along! Happy New Year!

Toronto-based Comedic-Actor and improviser KRISTIAN REIMER is thrilled to be back in Ottawa on New Years Eve. Reimer grew up on the Prairies in Alberta, the home of grain feed Alberta Beef (mmm beef!) Reimer started off performing in the back of classrooms, and later refined his talent as an improviser at the Loose Moose Theatre in Calgary under the direction of Keith Johnston and Denis Cahil. Reimer is returned from a summer of touring Blind Date in London’s West End 2013, followed by touring a cabaret, From Prairies with Love, in Regina, Edmonton and Toronto. Feel free to add him as a friend online! Happy New Year!

KATIE HOOD is a theatre performer/story teller from Toronto who is inspired by physical comedy, comedic timing, and lots of sugar. A believer of theatre in nontraditional spaces, Katie has performed plays and told stories across Canada in stairwells, bathrooms, gardens, and prisons.

It's New Years Eve: the Gladstone Theatre bar will stay open after the show, and into the new year.

Tickets: $20  Tickets are available online at http://www.thegladstone.ca/newyearseve.html or contact The Gladstone Box Office at [masked] or[masked]

Note: The show starts at 8:00pm and there will be a party in the lobby after the show.

I purchased a ticket online this morning, G11, a single ticket. How many are going to the Heart and Crown before the performance?

Hello, My names Andre, been a member over a year but can't seem to make to many gatherings. I love comedy and wouldn't mind seeing burlesque. Something different for New Years. I'd like to know about the dress code, I feel comfortable knowing What to expect. As well I'd like to know where to meet up.

Hi Andre - some of us are meeting at the heart and crown (a block away) for some appetizers before the show. You could join us there and we could head to the theatre together?

And I'm ok with the heart and crown. Maybe 6 would be better in case it takes a while to get served?

Hi! My ticket is F12, perhaps we could reach the theatre and figure out what seating options we may work out. 6 at the Heart and Crown sounds good! Looking forward to seeing you all!

Are people meeting up somewhere? Any chance we can get seats together. I'm looking to book and would rather not sit alone.

Could we coordinate to get tickets together? Or we could meet before/after the show.

I'm willing to buy the tickets if you want to meet before? You can pay me then. Has everyone else already booked their tickets?
