Kats Conf 2

Hello Functional Kats,

As you might know, our next event is going to be a little bit special: we've been hard at work organising Kats Conf 2! That's right, it’s not just a meetup, it’s a full-blown conference! We're like that, we like to do things big sometimes.

Kats Conf 2 is going to be a one day, single track conference about the joy and fun of functional programming. We worked hard to bring an amazing lineup of high-quality speakers to Dublin, with talks on functional programming, relational programming, language design, and much more. We're going to chat about Scala, Erlang, Haskell, and all the languages we love to play with.

But wait! There's more! We're also going to run a series of workshops the day before the main conference where you can get your hands dirty on Cats (the Scala library, not the animal), Erlang, recursion; or learn how to be an ally in the workplace.

The main conference is going to take place on Saturday February 18th at the Workday office in Smithfield.

You can find all of the information above and much more (including the list of speakers), and buy your tickets if you haven't done so already, on our website: http://www.katsconf.c...

In the spirit of this meetup group, we want this conference to be fun and welcoming for everyone, beginners and experts alike. Don't hesitate to come even if you haven't been to one of our meetups or a tech conference before. If you're on the fence, or have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us by replying to this email, or via Twitter.

Thanks, and see you at Kats Conf!

-- Jérémie & the Kats Conf organising team

PS: we created a placeholder meetup for Kats Conf -- feel free to RSVP there, however, for this event you will need a valid ticket purchased on the website.
