BayTAP student-mentor program

Hi everyone, here is more info on the BayTAP program I announced at yesterday's meetup.

http://www.meetup...

Our goal is to get college students involved in user group activities. We are sponsoring several student projects this summer, all part-time, and some involving GAE. We need mentors, people with professional experience, to help guide them in project planning, setup, and to be available to answer technical questions along the way. Time commitment is up to you and can be minimal. Last summer our students built a GAE web application and several mobile applications, participated in code campouts, and won a best-in-category award at the iPhone dev camp.

We all have day jobs, and we all have side projects. One evening I may be hacking a GAE app, another I might be experimenting with Ruby. If you are interested in helping the next generation get started on these kinds of activities, email me or sign up at the meetup group. Thanks!
