Thanks all for participating in a very interesting discussion about what happens with content on smaller screens - I promised to share the Mobile First talk Luke W delivered some time ago that has been the source of much debate - it's worth checking out if you keep having mobile come up within your organization or with your clients: http://vimeo.com/38187066

    Fred,

Thanks for attending last night! That's a really great point that you've brought out about meeting content. Many of our presentations have been geared towards advanced topics and it would be beneficial to also have presentations on more beginner topics as well. Duly noted! Hope to see you again soon!

Made some good contacts! As a beginner android developer and noting there were several other beginners, I hope future meetups can have some topics geared towards beginning app development. As I understood most of the topics discussed they are not of concern for me at this point.

Hello, I'm new to android development and need a little assitance on an app utilizing USB accessory. I am local to Schaumburg area. I have working app that detects USB when plugged in and runs app, issue is that I am trying to run app first and then requestPermmsion() to usb. Using android development examples... My issue is probably more java related as I can't figure out how to correct Braodcast and call related fuctions. Is anyone familiar with what I am talking about?

Be happy to show my code for more help!

    Thanks

    Fred

Read the section on "Enumerating accessories" here: http://developer.andr... Basically, you use the getAcccessoryList() method of the UsbManager.
