I was very pleased this year to unearth a real Google talent and help set him on a path to becoming a Google Developer Expert.

Now I'm even happier to welcome Omer to Oxford to show off his talent in a subject which will be a hot topic this year as Google takes on AWS and Azure in the fight for top spot in Cloud Services.

Kubernetes was probably the best new product in 2015 and Container Engine was first to embrace this technology which really leverages Docker technology.

This will change the way you think about your systems architecture.

Let Omer explain...

This talk will explain the key concepts of Kubernetes (http://kubernetes.io/v1.1/docs/whatisk8s.html) and Google Container Engine (https://cloud.google.com/container-engine/).

Kubernetes is a powerful open source platform by Google for orchestrating and managing a cluster of containers. Kubernetes supports both Docker (https://www.docker.com/) and Rocket (https://coreos.com/blog/rocket/) container technologies.

Google Container Engine (GCE) is a hosted Kubernetes container environment that enables developers to deploy and run Kubernetes clusters on the Google Cloud Platform.

There will be a demo covering the deployment of a multi-tiered Web application cluster using GCE.
