We are excited to announce Mark Murphy (@commonsguy on Twitter/Github and @commonsware on StackOverflow) will be giving the title talk at our March event.
Title: "Android App Anti-Patterns, Presented Promptly"
Doing the right thing is hard. Screwing up, though, is dirt simple. In this presentation, we will explore a number of flaws in Android app development: ways in which you can write code that look like it works but is at risk of causing significant problems for users. This will include time-honored rants, such as "a Uri is not a file", "Android does not have a CROP Intent", "why are you using res/drawable/?", and more!
We will also have 3 additional lightning talks (10 mins each) as well:
Lindsay Tabas: Design with C.R.A.P principles
Yash Prabhu: Recycler Views
Tuguldur Baigalmaa: Realm database
We look forward to seeing you there!
