  • This is a 6-week course.

    We will be exploring some of Shakespeare's greatest works in the home of the Long Beach Shakespeare Company! The class is a performance based method. No acting experience required. We will be reading and acting out scenes, playing games, and having fun with hands on activities.  The 6 classes are on Tuesday's at 3:00-4:00pm beginning Oct. 1 and last class is Nov.5. Cost is $90 at the Richard Goad Theatre home of The Long Beach Shakespeare Company.

    Ages: 9+ years

    Tuesdays, 3pm-4pm

    6 sessions: 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5

    Cost: $90/student

    Instructor: Ms. Dana Leach is currently the drama and video instructor at Lakewood Christian Schools.  She has authored and implemented a drama program for middle school based on CA state standards.  Her drama program performs 14 productions during the school year and she is responsible for curriculum, costumes, set, scripts, and stage lighting.

    This is a drop-off class, if parent and student are comfortable.  Parents/siblings may observe quietly in the theatre or wait in the lobby.

    If you are not using charter school funds, feel free to pay online or bring payment to first day of class payable to Ms. Dana Leach.

    To sign up one student, RSVP as yourself; to sign up two students, RSVP +1, etc.

    What level of understanding of Shakespeare does the student need to have? My almost 10-year-old may be ready for The Bard but we have not yet begun to study his work.

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled
  • you can cancel at least 3 day(s) before the Meetup

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.

Regardless of the refund policy set by the organizer, Meetup may issue refunds on an organizer's behalf if we determine that Meetup's Payment Policies have been violated.
