TO ENDORSE OR NOT TO ENDORSE - THAT IS THE QUESTION?

For those who are confused, "no endorsement" does not mean you should not vote in the race. We encourage you to go to our website to READ the analysis of EACH race and candidates. We do not just take a candidate's web site information or another group's research, but we do it ourselves. We recommend that you take this information and your own research to make a decision that is right for you.

We believe it is our responsibility to set forth the pros and cons of each candidate based on research, not on emotion, not on political pressure, and certainly not based on making everyone happy. Our job is to set forth the issues and facts as best we can.

Endorsement of any candidate is a serious matter. To paraphrase Samuel Adams' warning regarding the seriousness of voting, we do not consider an endorsement to be "making a present or a compliment to please an individual" or to appease interested groups. We do not endorse for the sake of compliance with conventional wisdom regarding the odds of winning, nor do we submit to party expediency. We believe any candidate – especially incumbents – must earn the People's vote. We also recognize that true public service is a sacrifice that few people are willing to make, but most are willing to harshly criticize. We are not looking for perfection. We are looking for dependable, principled statesmanlike leaders among imperfect men and women.

While GNOTP networks with many statewide conservative groups and highly values and respects the work of those organizations, GNOTP remains independent and does not endorse a candidate simply because "everyone else is doing it."

FIRST...... page up to read our GNOTP explanation of endorsements. GNOTP DOES NOT ENDORSE CANDIDATES.

THEN.......Please read this article regarding the "endorsement" of candidates by the "Tea Party of Louisiana"...... which is a very small group that is NOT affiliated with ANY other Tea Party group in Louisiana!!!!

We had similar problems with this group in the 2010 elections..... if you have the opportunity to set the record straight with other voters.....please explain that this Tea Party group only speaks for themselves and NOT for any other Tea Party group in Louisiana!!
