YOUR CALLS TO GOV. JINDAL ARE FORCING HIM TO "TALK THE TALK" ABOUT GETTING LOUISIANA OUT OF THE COMMON CORE INITIATIVE...... KEEP UP THE PRESSURE 'CAUSE WE NEED HIM TO "WALK THE WALK" AND DO IT!!!!

Several articles from yesterday quote the Gov. saying he is looking for the solution to kill Common core standards and testing.

“I am committed to getting us out of PARCC, out of Common Core,” he said in a brief interview.

The lapdog media likes to claim that the LA legislature evaluated and voted on the bills to STOP CC.

In reality, NONE of the bills filed that would have removed the CC Initiative (ie standards and PARCC or similar testing) ever made it out of the House and or Senate EDUCATION Committees so that they could be debated by ALL legislators in both the House and Senate. (Hat Tip to Sara Wood for pointing this out)

Soooooo, for example, neither MY Rep nor MY Senator ever had a vote on any of these bills.

Just happened to be re-reading some of my previous posts and found this article from January 2014 which turned out to be VERY PROPHETIC.... it states:
"But, now state legislators are jumping into the conversation, filing the first spate of bills meant to tweak, reverse or replace the standards in a state that was once at the forefront of their drafting and implementation. The result will probably result in additional changes to how Common Core is carried out here, but won't likely mean the undoing of the standards thanks in no small part to hearty support from the House and Senate education committee chairmen."
