The Smyrna Chapter of the GNPA is excited to have Jerry Burnell present “Shooting and Processing Big Birds.” This meeting is FREE and open to the public.

Jerry will talk about the methods and tips on photographing the big birds. If you are a new photographer, Jerry will provide some useful tips on capturing some great images of these birds during various stages of their annual feeding, nesting, and reproduction. If you are a more experienced wildlife photographer, Jerry will show ways to be more creative in planning and executing a big bird photo shoot.

Jerry Burnell is known as a master jewelry designer and craftsman, a photographer, and a technical and yet strongly ascetics-based jewelry and photography judge. He has been judging photo competitions and giving seminars on many aspects of photography for over forty years. Jerry is self-taught in photography and his photography prowess is based on the reading of over 140 photography books, thousands of magazine articles and attending dozens of seminars.

Jerry is just as comfortable trekking across the southwest desert or caverns under it or capturing images of birds in flight in Florida, as he is sitting in front of his twelve-core processor, multi-screen computer, or photographing a quarter of a million-dollar necklace that they had made. To sum it all up, as one of Jerry's ten grand kids was introducing Jerry to her teacher she said, "Grandpa takes really, really good pictures."
