This outstanding walk takes us from Kintbury through classic Wessex countryside, woods and pastures, up to a the ridge of Inkpen Hill where we will have unparalleled views of the North Wessex Downs, we follow the ridge for 4km before descending into the historic village of Great Bedwyn.
Meeting point, 08.45 at London Paddington railway station, next to the information booth in front of the main ticket office. We will be taking the 09.18 train arriving in Kintbury at 10.32, journey time 1hr 14 mins.

Walk details, 12.4m 20km this is moderate Undulating walk mainly on good paths with one steep climb.
From Kintbury station we follow the Kennet and Avon Canal before crossing a footbridge into the village of Kintbury.
A gradual ascent takes us through beutifull rolling pastures and into the village of Hell Corner, we cross Inkpen Common and start a long gradual climb to Adder's Copse.
The trail now climbs steeply to join the Wayfarer's Walk. We continue over the Iron Age hillfort of Walbury Hill and follow the main ridge of the Wessex Downs.
Picking up the Mid Wiltshire Way we drop down to the village of Shalbourne before defending into the valley and Bedwyn Station, where you can join us for a drink and some food or take the train back home.

Group train tickets, Group tickets are normally available for groups of 3 or 4 adults traveling together. As you arrive at the meeting place I will send you in groups of four to the ticket office. Please arrive early as it cannot be guaranteed that we will have complete groups of 3 or 4. In these circumstances e.g. 2 persons or less you will unfortunately have to pay full fare.
