This beautiful coastal walk starts from Rye, crossing Rye Marsh, we pass through Winchelsea and follow an old military path. We then ascend to Fairlight Cove and walk over the cliff tops to Hastings where we can have a drink and fish and chips.
Meeting point, 08.45 London St Pancras International Station, outside Patisserie Valerie that is near the National Rail Ticket Office. We will be taking the 09.34 train via Ashford to Rye. Due back in London for 20:30

Walk details, This is a moderate walk with four hills on well maintained paths. 19km 11.8 miles.
The start of this walk takes us from Rye and follows the River Brede. We walk past Camber Castle, cross the Castle Water Nature Reserve and follow the canal. From Winchelsea, we follow the Royal Military Canal Path to get to the coast.
From Fairlight Cove we walk in Hastings Country Park and through the woodland after Ecclesbourne Glen.
At the top of the cliffs we will have views out to the sea and over Hastings old town and it's castle. We descend to the Hastings seafront and stop for a drink and fish and chips before heading home.

Group train tickets. Group tickets are normally available for groups of 3 adults traveling together. As you arrive at the meeting place I will send you in groups of four to the ticket office. Please arrive early as it cannot be guaranteed that we will have complete groups of 3. In these circumstances e.g. 2 persons or less you will unfortunately have to pay full fare.
