The SparkFun National Tour has one goal - to share our passion for electronics with students and teachers across the country. We want to stop in 50 states on 50 dates, teaching lifelong skills such as programming, soldering, and building circuits along the way.
The Gangplank SparkFun event is aimed at students (10+) and parents/teachers who are interested in learning about this new, low cost entré into computer education.
There is NO COST to participants. Gangplank has you covered!
There is no registration. Please RSVP on this page if you are thinking of coming. And follow this page for specific scheduling details on the day to come.
PLEASE NOTE: All kids must be accompanied by a parent while attending SparkFun (and all Gangplank Jr. events)Here's some more information on the SparkFun event:
There will be 2 complete 4 hour sessions during the day. It is highly recommended that you attend the complete 4 hour block. They will be as follows:
First hour- drivers, blink sketch, declaring variables, bread board basics
Second hour- analog output, analog input, analog circuits
Third hour- Serial communication and debugging analog and digital circuits
Fourth hour- If statements, The Servo library, and some tips and tricks
The first session begins at 9AM. The second session begins at 1PM.
There is no need to reserve. There is no need to bring anything. All required parts, etc, will be supplied.
This event is open to those who knows anywhere from NOTHING to SOMETHING about Arduinos and Raspberry Pi. It's aimed at Teachers, Parents and Teens.
