Please RSVP if you plan to attend, and feel free to invite any friends that may be interested as well. The goal is to help learners feel comfortable speaking Gaelic. If you’re a fluent Gaelic speaker and would like to help out, we encourage you to come as well. We ask that those of you who are fluent speak slowly and clearly in Gaelic. Beginners are encouraged to speak Gaelic as well, but should feel free to use English if they feel stuck.
Note: The meeting is not a classroom-type instruction of Gaelic, but for those who are learning using other resources, such as classes*, books, and/or Internet courses. The meeting is meant to complement these by giving learners the chance to speak and listen to Gaelic in real life.
*Non-credit Gaelic classes are available through Comann Luchd Ionnsachaidh Thoronto (the Toronto Gaelic Learners Association), with the next session starting on October 29, 2016. Students from these classes are welcome to complement their study with us.
