Come enjoy a mid morning tea and herbal gift making workshop with Melanie, as you discover some simple ways to make your own salves, tea blends, and herbal syrups for homemade gift making, or just for your own enjoyment and empowerment. Gift giving can be stressful, not only because it gets expensive, but also because there is no need for more stuff around the house, and in this course you will see that homemade gifts don't have to involve Martha Stewart's super powers!
You will make and you will take home an herbal salve: I'll give you my favorite recipe for an all around skin salve for insect bites, minor cuts and dry feet.
You will also learn how to make herbal syrups and will enjoy making an elderberry syrup, which is a plant that grows wild all around the city!
We will also get to enjoy some herbal teas during class and get to know some herbs a bit more intimately as well as learn to make medicinal strength teas.
Cost is $30 per person and the class is just about 2h30 but the knowledge lasts a lifetime. $10 non-refundable fee taken on Meetup for attendance purposes, pay the rest upon arrival.
Warning: You will be hooked and will become an herb fanatic after this class but that's ok, we can hang out :)
