On October 10th is World's Mental Health day. I thought this is a great day to get out and work together. Why?
- Working from home/remote working can feel lonely.
- Getting no (specific) feedback makes you feel lost in your work.
- Because work needs to get done.
We will meeting at the Lane's cafe, at one of the tables upstairs (https://workfrom.co/the-lane-cafe-galway-150148). I'll be commenting here where exactly I'm sitting in case there are more people with laptops working from the Lane's cafe. I have a workfrom.co scout sticker on my laptop. The end time is open, we can each go our own ways after 2 hours, or go for lunch together, change location and continue working.
What will we be doing:
We will have an introduction round so that we get to know each other. Share your expertise and if you have, questions/feedback you are looking for. We will be working in 25 minutes blocks using Cuckoo timer. That gives us a structure and time to chat.
What you should be doing:
It helps if you have a task that you like to achieve during that time. For example, schedule your social media post, write an article, send receipts to your accountants, solve a bug, read a paper.
If you want input on your work:
You can use this co-working session to get input from others. What input you get will depend on who is there. For example, I can give specific advice on data science, coding (R, Python), management theories (specifically HR), research projects, German, French, Dutch, (solo) parenting, self-defense and Muay Thai.
Feel free to add your expertise in the comments.
I'm looking forward to work with you!
