Meditation classes (Galway) - Let go of anxiety, enjoy life Talks and guided meditations Wednesdays, Sep 5th to Oct 3rd | 19:00 to 20:30 | with Kadam Adam | at The Connacht Hotel, Dublin Road, Galway Discover the power of meditation and living mindfully to confidently let go of anxiety and enjoy life fully, from the inside-out. The busyness of daily life, constant demands on our time, and the difficulties we meet, can often leave us all feeling tired, stressed and stuck in a state of worrying. If we don't have constructive ways to deal with this, it can easily lead to increasing anxiety, fear, unhappiness, and feeling stuck in these unhealthy states of mind. In this series, we will learn highly practical meditations and trainings in improving our mindfulness in daily life, that empower us to recognise, reduce and let go of anxiety and fear, with confidence. In its place we will learn how to develop and maintain positive, peaceful states of mind, that enable us to fully enjoy our life, free of anxiety and fear, whatever is happening in our day. The classes include a talk, two guided meditations and time for Q&A. Each class is self-contained. So, you can attend the whole series, or just drop in to any class, any week. What we're about

Tara Centre is a Buddhist meditation centre dedicated to the attainment of world peace by offering everyone the opportunity to develop lasting mental peace through meditation and related practices.

The classes at Tara Centre offers scientific methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. The year-round meditation classes, workshops and retreats caters for people at all levels from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.

Classes are open to everyone – young, old, working, retired, singles, couples, and families. The centre welcomes people from all faiths and those who do not subscribe to any faith. You do not have to be a Buddhist to take part in the programme or to benefit from it.

The Wednesday meditation class provides a grounding in all the essential practices of meditation, including practical instruction and the opportunity to practice different meditations. Ideal for beginners and those wishing to improve their meditation. The classes are delivered on term by term bases covering a new topic each term (approx 4-5 wks), each class is self contained, so you can attend any number of classes, just drop-in!

Each class includes a simple breathing meditation, a short talk and the opportunity to apply the teachings to your own life in a guided contemplative meditation. There is also time to ask questions and discuss over light refreshments.
