Meditation half-day course - Letting go of the past

Studio 1, O’Donoghue Centre for Drama

Meditation half-day course - Letting go of the past Talks & guided meditations Feb, Sat 23rd | 10:00 to 13:30 | with Kadam Adam | at Studio 1, O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, NUIG, University Rd, Galway. Book online at: https://www.meditateinireland.com/galway/ Discover the power of meditation and mindfulness to enable us to let go of the past and move confidently towards the future we want. We can all have trouble letting go of the memory of painful events in our past and this can affect the way we respond to our present life & relationships. Whether its simply an argument with a friend or family member, or some other painful life event, we can find it hard to fully let go. We blame situations, ourselves or others and can remain stuck in a state of frustration, anger and hurt, which can prevent us moving forward and fully enjoying our life. In this meditation course, Kadam Adam will explain how training in meditation and mindfulness enables us to discover the real source of pain and difficulty within our minds. We will learn how to finally release it completely, leaving us with a deep feeling of inner peace, mental freedom and genuine happiness. In this way we can learn to let go of the past and move forward to the peaceful, happy and fulfilling future we would want. Suitable for beginners and those with more experience, the morning includes talks and guided meditations, with time for Q&A. Course fee: €30 | €20 for supporting members & study programme students Includes tea, coffee and pastries

Meditation Classes - Living our best life

Studio 1, O’Donoghue Centre for Drama

Meditation Classes - Living our best life Talks and guided meditations Wednesdays, Feb 13th to Mar 6th | 19:00 to 20:30 | with Kadam Adam | at Studio 1, O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, NUIG, University Rd, Galway. Discover highly practical trainings in Buddhist meditation and improving our mindfulness, that have proven effective for centuries in enabling everyone (Buddhist and non-Buddhist alike) to live their best life, from the inside-out. We know from our own experience that we can never derive deep and lasting happiness from material things. Indeed it often seems the more emphasis we place on material development, the more problems we encounter. We may create a life that looks good on the outside, but doesn't always feel so good on the inside. In this series, we will explore how the key to living our best life is creating a healthy balance in our life, between material (or outer) development and inner development, developing the potential of our mind. We will discover how we can all live our normal daily life, and at the same time begin to find deep and lasting happiness through training in meditation and mindfulness that focuses on this inner development, developing the capacity and potential of our mind. Through improving our qualities of love, compassion and wisdom we can gradually eliminate our inner suffering and problems and attain deep and lasting peace of mind and happiness. In this way, we learn how to live our best life, from the inside-out. We gradually become free from the anxiety, frustration and stress that comes from seeking but never quite finding, the deep and lasting happiness we all long for from our work, relationships and external life. Instead we develop and maintain a new found sense of inner peace and joy that we bring to all areas of our life, such as our relationships, our work and so forth, from the inside-out. Feb 13 - Living our best life, a healthy balance between outer & inner development Feb 20 - Our true potential, and letting go of the inner obstacles to living our best life Feb 27 - The power of love to positively transform our life and relationships Mar 6 - The power of wisdom, our inner guide to real happiness, real freedom These weekly classes are suitable for beginners and those with more experience of meditation & mindfulness training. The classes include a talk, two guided meditations and time for Q&A. Each class is self-contained. So, you can attend the whole series, or just drop in to any class, any week. Drop-in fee (per class): €10 | free for supporting members Class Card: (4 x classes): €30 – 4 x classes for the price of 3 No need to book, just drop-in.
