We at the Game CoLab are excited to announce our next game jam, Phoenix Makes Games Jam! Friday through Sunday, teams will compete to make a themed game in just 48 hours. Bring your team with you or make friends with some strangers and form a group. No experience is necessary, so just come on out and join the fun! In fact, less experienced developers should seize this opportunity to work with and learn from some veterans.
The Game CoLab has successfully secured a $4,000 grant through the Art Tank program from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts that will make for an awesome jam and afford teams visibility in a website showcase!
Game jams promote fresh thinking on an idea. An idea is only as good as its execution, and the productivity is measured in moments, not months. Learn to cut the fat and really focus on what it means to make a great game!
We’re looking for additional sponsors for food and beverages, awards, hardware, software licenses, and media support. If you’re interested, or know someone who is, please email [masked]. In return we offer credit and publicity, and you may also address the attendees during the scheduled presentation time at the start or end of the 48-hour jam. We want this event to be a large community effort to assist game developers and the future of this medium in Phoenix and Arizona. Join us!
