Last night was my first meet & make session; in fact, my first meetup with this group. It's a cool idea, but I was turned off by the way one of the newcomers was alienated by one of the regulars. I'm not a big fan of this kind of behavior. I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed.

This is what we do in the gamespace lounge events. These are slightly harder to organize, because we have to find people who have a project they can show and are willing to share. This also takes some time and preparation from the devs, because nothing is more frustrating than wanting to show stuff and nothing works. We always encourage people if they want to share their project to drop us a line and we organize a lounge or just make time in a regular gamespace. They can also just come and just show it on a whim, which also happens sometimes. But at the gamespace lounge we properly organize it and have some 5 teams showing their WIP.

Hello, I am a developer interested in videogame programming. I saw your meetup group some time ago and I would be interested to join.
In particular I would be interested in learning from you guys the tools and processes that you use as I would like to start doing my own games.
Is this event suitable for a newbie like me? :-)

    Regards,

    Albert

Hi Albert, experience is not required, so feel free to join! It's just a fun making session, and you're welcome to contribute any way you like or just hang out and have a look at what people are doing. :)
