Magic Celebration!

FREE PACKS!!

Now that I have your attention, come on out to the Magic 2013 Celebration. Wizards of the Coast will be sending out packs to be given out to our players as they play in a Mini Master tournament in which they can win more and more boosters. In addition to boosters, there are event specific achievements that you can unlock on your Planeswalker Points account. There will also be promo codes given out that can be used with Duels of the Planeswalkers.

Long story short: Packs, fun, and FREE!!

Last year you started with 2 packs and 3 of each land. If you won your round you got another pack you could add to your deck. This continued for 4 rounds or so then a winner was declared. Repeat until all the packs WotC sent the store are gone. I think we did about 3 tourneys in total last year. Was a ton of fun.

It's free for the Magic yearly celebration thing. Mini Master is also called Pack Wars. You open the booster and without looking at the cards, take out the token and shuffle in 3 of each color of land. I'd assume if you win, they give you a new pack and you use only that pack for the second round, etc. Wizards' site said you can win up to 3 packs additional packs.

Also, I found the rules for Mini Master/Pack Wars on the Wizards of the Coast site. Seeing as this is a Wizard official event, I assume this is how it'll be handled.

It's free. You start with 1 free pack and 5 land I believe, and that's your deck. If you win, you get another pack to add to your deck, and so on. It's a blast.

Can someone explain the format? I'm getting multiple answers on how Mini Master works when I Google it.
