We've moved our Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 game from 2nd and 4th Saturdays to alternating Sundays 12-6 PM. We're 1st-3rd level, and we had just finished a 2nd level module adventure, but there's a loose end they'd really like to get rid of ;)
This should be the last game for our whole huge group, before we split it into 2 or 3 smaller groups, see the discussion. It features a short but dangerous mission. By the way, before we go, Lady Arabella will say that if anyone wants to leave a will, her office will keep it safe, and if by some miracle they find someone who can do a reincarnation or raise dead, do you want to come back, do you want to come back only if it's not a reincarnation (even if that's the only way available), or is reincarnation ok, and as what (if by another miracle it's not totally random), do you want to come back if you'll be in debt for it, who should be notified and where, where should remains be sent, etc. (typically only rich high level characters get to live again, but maybe one of y'all might get lucky considering what y'all did for the town).
Please RSVP in either this meetup group or the other one, not both, thanks.
Gned the Gnome started running Dungeon Crawl Classics #39, The Ruins of Castle Churo, the 1st level module on June 9th and is continuing with new modules as needed.
How to join the game: Contact Gned the Gnome or catch him before a game on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at Heroes & Dragons. Moved to Sunday 12/23/12, will continue on either every other Sunday, 1st/3rd/5th Sundays of the month, or 2nd/4th Sundays, to be determined.
If you roll your own character: Roll 24 d6's and arrange 3 of them under each of the standard 6 abilities S D C I W Ch however you want (if you don't have 24 d6's, roll and write down the numbers and arrange the numbers). Make sure to put 3 d6's under each of the 6 standard abilities, then ignore the remaining 6 dice. Gned the Gnome prefers that all stats be at least 6, but if you really want to, you can have 1 stat below 6, as low as 3, but you'll really need to play that character accordingly ;) This method usually generates very nice numbers but not too ridiculous. If you get a lousy set of numbers, you can roll a 2nd time but then you're stuck with the results. Considering that the average roll should produce 4 6's, 4 5's, etc. to choose from (e.g. [masked]), that should be no problem. Then apply racial adjustments and fill in your character sheet as much as you can and bring it. Use the standard races, classes, money, and item costs in the D&D 3.5 Player's Handbook. Everyone should have their own PH but there should be least enough to share without slowing down the game much. If you want to use a class or other feature in one of the other 3.5 books, bring the book so Gned the Gnome can check it out. Gned the Gnome wll want to see all character sheets and approve them ahead of time. No psionics, no poison, no level adjusted races, no gestalt characters, start with all 1st level characters with 0 XP. Equipment and encumbrance are usually not an issue, just don't get ridiculous.
