There's a lot of confusing information about how to eat healthy, from different diets, food labelling, television ads, and the plethora of marketing behind certain brands.
In this Meetup, we'll cover the basics of what a good, balanced diet looks like, including the role of fats, protein and carbohydrates, what foods to increase in your diet, and what ones to eat less of.
We'll discuss some of the different diets people do (ex. Paleo, vegan, gluten-free), what it means when labels say "natural" or "organic," how to know if you're food has nutritional value, and much more.
My goal is to provide you the knowledge to make your own informed decisions when you're at the grocery store or eating out. Knowledge is power, and your health and well-being will benefit.
