Let’s go to the concert together! For classical music lovers, there are a number of venues in and around BKK. From November till September, the excellent Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) performs three times a month in the brand new concert hall located on Mahidol University campus at Salaya (check out more at www.thailandphil.com). We’ll meet for selected concerts at Mahidol on Saturday afternoons; we'll usually gather at Silom Complex. From there, it takes about one hour via sky train and taxi to get to Salaya. Lunch is available in a comfortable and inexpensive restaurant near the auditorium (http://www.music.mahidol.ac.th/musicsquare/...). Concerts start at 4 and end around 6. Tickets are 300 and 500 baht and can be bought on the spot since the event is never fully booked. After the concert, a shuttle bus will bring us back to BTS Bang Wa. Expect to be back in down town Bangkok between 7 and 7.30 pm, depending on the actual ending of the concert, and traffic.

Air con in the concert hall is invariably set to freezing point. Bring your favourite jacket or jumper.

Don't hesitate to contact the organizer for any questions you might have. - For better communication, I created a LINE group called "Music Lovers". If you send me a personal message, I will include you in that group.
