    What we're about

Hello All, Welcome to Gay Women in Merseyside.

We hope to organise a diverse range of opportunities for gay and bi women in Merseyside to meet up and enjoy events such as walks, camping, cinema, discos, pub nights and reading groups. However, all members are invited to suggest events for consideration. This is a new group greatly inspired by our sister organisation Gay Women in Cheshire.

Merseyside has a lot to offer, not least the city of Liverpool with its Gay Quarter around Stanley St and Victoria St. There is also The Wirral where there is a coastal path and potential for many beautiful walks. The same goes for Sefton, which is also famous for Anthony Gormley’s art work, Another Place, which consists of 100 bronze statues standing on the beaches of Crosby.

There are no specific rules and regulations but it is expected that members will have respect and consideration for others and that punctuality at the time stated for an event will be observed to avoid unnecessary delays. It is intended that a contact number will be given a day or two before events take place. If for any reason you need to drop out from an event, to which you have previously responded indicating that you will attend, it would be useful if you could amend your RSVP. In addition, if any member wishes to take photographs of other members (or anybody else for that matter), it is up to the person taking the photograph to gain consent (of the people in the photograph) to post said photographs on social media (social media being sites like Facebook). In addition, if any member wants to 'tag' another member on social media, it is up to that member to gain the consent of the member they intend to tag.

Thank you for reading these comments and for your co-operation. I hope you enjoy being a member of Gay Women in Merseyside.

Disclaimer: Attendance at all events is undertaken at the member's own risk and any organiser of an event takes no responsibility for any member's safety and / or untoward occurrences. In addition, there is no guarantee that all events will be enjoyed by everybody who attends. However, organisers, co-organisers and other event leaders are committed to everybody's enjoyment and will do their utmost to make events fun and enjoyable for everybody.

    Warmest wishes

    Sue
