Keshet Austin is a social group for LGBTQ Jews, their spouses, partners, significant others, families, allies, and friends, whether Jewish, gay or not. Keshet organizes programs to integrate Jewish life, learning, and spirituality into our unique community. Members are Jewish, in the process of converting, or are the significant other of a Jewish Member.
"Keshet" means "rainbow" in Hebrew, and as a reflection, Keshet members are all ages and come from a variety of backgrounds and Jewish affiliations. We welcome diversity and inclusion. We are Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Orthodox, secular, and liberal. And we come from all types of backgrounds.
Keshet Austin hosts a variety of events such as: Shabbat dinners, onegs or pronegs at local synagogues, Jewish holiday parties, cultural, spiritual and educational events, Tikkun Olam opportunities, and social events that are just plain fun.
