Saturday evening board games and hang out!

Meltdown eSports Bar Toronto

You know what they say, winter Saturday, stay in and play! (i say that) Let's get together and play some board games and video games! I've got some new games I'm looking to try out such as million dollars but..., bears vs babies and the binding of Issac board game. Also later in the night there is a Disney themed party for those who are looking to stay out late! As always there are board games at the venue, but feel free to bring your own. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Let's go see: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) @ Yonge-Dundas Cinema

Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP

"Meet me in Montauk". Let's go revisit the superb film that Wikipedia classifies as a "science fiction romantic comedy psychological drama" - it's got EVERYTHING! Tickets are $6.99, and can be bought online (https://www.cineplex.com/Movie/eternal-sunshine-of-the-spotless-mind-flashback-film-series) or at the theatre on the day of (I assume). I bought my ticket online already, just in case. The plan is to arrive for 6:30ish at the theatre then grab a group of seats together. Film starts at 7:00. Afterwards we can go grab some some drinks and/or food nearby, if anyone wants to. Film summary (as stolen from the internet): "After a painful breakup, Clementine (Kate Winslet) undergoes a procedure to erase memories of her former boyfriend Joel (Jim Carrey) from her mind. When Joel discovers that Clementine is going to extremes to forget their relationship, he undergoes the same procedure and slowly begins to forget the woman that he loved. Directed by former music video director Michel Gondry, the visually arresting film explores the intricacy of relationships and the pain of loss." Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07-QBnEkgXU

Nintendo Switch Gaming Social V.4, feat. couch co-op games!

Meltdown eSports Bar Toronto

We've done the BIG games (Mario Kart, Smash Bros), so now let's give some other games a chance to shine! Let's bring back the childhood excitement of clustering around a TV, passing controllers back and forth with friends - only this time, the games will be shown on a big projector screen, we'll be in a rad bar, and the games will be for 2 to 4 people (so still gotta take turns!) So far I've got: - Rocket League (4 player) - Guacamelee! (4 player) -Rayman Legends (4 player) -Diablo 3 (4 player) -Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (2 player) -Sonic Mania Plus (2 player) I'll be bringing my Switch, dock, 4 joycons (with one grip) & a Pro controller for the main event(s), but if you have a Switch & a dock you're comfortable bringing along, THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE! As always, our friends at Meltdown have agreed to let us use some of their TV screens, so hopefully we can get several games going on at once so there's less waiting for a turn on the main screen(s). Feel free to leave a comment about: if you have a Switch to bring, what games you own and/or what games you'd like to see there!
