GG Business Cards - For DragonCon and the Upcoming Maker Faire, we need some business cards! I came up with this design based on Strobel's logo (which despite its size limitations is perfect for this sort of application) Seco Brad N. Aug 22, 2012 9:20 PM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - Oh sweet.  This is good!  Just have to make sure the software is written to use it effectively but that should not be too much of an issue. :) Mike On Tue, Jul 31, 2012 at 6:07 AM, Nathan Lindeman < Mike P. Aug 1, 2012 11:31 AM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - Not built in it looks like, but a simple fix appears to be available http://pi.gadgetoid.co.uk/post/001-who-watches-the-watcher I may be wrong. Still have a bit to lear Nathan L. Jul 31, 2012 6:07 AM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - What do you do if the r-pi locks up and nobody is in the space? Do the r-pis have a watchdog timer in them? On Jul 31,[masked]:26 AM, "Nathan Lindeman" < nathan.lindema Mike P. Jul 31, 2012 5:59 AM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - I don't think light will be too big of a problem seeing as how there is a fair amount of ambient light at all of the locations we've already looked at. Even then, we could check to see if the camara in question picks up IR light from LED's. If Nathan L. Jul 31, 2012 2:26 AM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - Not infra-red I'm afraid. It has motion sensing capabilities iirc. I'm sure we could set up something to just grab a snapshot upon a failed access attempt though. Brandon Barnes Brandon Jul 30, 2012 9:13 PM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - infra-red? motion sensitive? remote-triggerable?  Cool :) On Mon, Jul 30, 2012 at 8:55 PM, Brandon < [address removed] > Brad N. Jul 30, 2012 9:05 PM
Re: [Geekspace-Gwinnett] RFID Entry Schematic - I've got a wireless ip camera I could possibly pitch in for just such a purpose. Brandon Barnes On Jul 30, 2012, at 6:17 PM, Brad Newton < Brandon Jul 30, 2012 8:37 PM

RFID Entry Schematic - I finally acquired the six Raspberry Pi units last week and have been putting on through its paces. I got the RFID card reader Saturday and expect the usb relay module later this week. The RFID reader was stupid-simple to get Brad N. Jul 30, 2012 4:31 PM
Bricked router for hacking fun/space router. - Hey all, I have a Linksys WRT610N v1 that I bricked a while back, and haven't had the motivation to unbrick it by hacking on a seriel port just yet. If anyone is up for it, I would be willing to donate it to the cause, so we can use this as our space Nathan L. Jul 27, 2012 7:59 AM
Pi, anyone? - I finally got an order confirmation from Element14. My Six (yes, 6) Raspberry Pi's are on their way! Plans are to incorporate them into an access control/automation system for the space. plus, we now have something to tinker with. Brad N. Jul 25, 2012 4:45 PM
