What we're about

This group is a space for those who want to dive deeper into their experiences of non-normative gender in a safe and supportive environment. We aim to empower members to share experiences, provide support, and bear witness to the challenges and triumphs of navigating gender. We welcome those of transgender, non-binary, and genderqueer identities, or anyone questioning where they fall on the spectrum. Topics discussed may include dysphoria, self-expression, fluidity, relationships, and navigating a culture that enforces a strict gender binary. Together we will support each other in our journeys towards living authentically in our gender and ourselves.

This group will take place: Monday nights in Feburary and March, 7 – 9pm

ORIENTATION DATE : Monday January 28th at 7:00pm (location TBA)

The location will be announced in the next week, but will likely be in the midtown or Greenwich Village area. After the orientation, the group will be closed to new members. Unlike a drop-in group, members will be expected to attend most weeks.

Identity House is a nonprofit staffed entirely by volunteers, so a contribution of $25 is requested each session, but not required. No one will be denied admittance because of an inability to pay, and any contribution is welcome.
