This practice session will be facilitated by Eliana Smith and Sandy Perrin, and the theme will be "How to express needs naturally": Have you ever wondered how you could express your needs in a natural way while keeping the NVC intention and process? In this session, we will discuss how to express our needs in colloquial ways and achieve the connection that we want with ourselves and others.
Awareness of people's needs (including our own) is at the heart of the NVC process: in the NVC process needs are universal to all human beings, so connecting on this level of needs brings people into kindship with each other, and brings forth the wish to cooperate and enrich each other's lives. Therefore, expressing our needs is at the heart of this connection.
Everyone please RSVP, and cancel your RSVP if you can't make it because places are limited!
We will study and apply together Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in English. This is a revolutionary way of relating authentically with yourself and others through building consciousness around: Empathy and Self-Empathy, Compassion, Emotional Freedom, Self-Expression among others essential elements!
The goal is to grow our capacity to communicate and exist in Truth from the Heart.
If you are brand-new to NVC, please read or watch an introduction so you can come with questions and the first ideas about it: http://www.meetup.com/Geneva-NVC-Practice/messages/boards/thread/49971513 . In addition, at 19:45 we will be in the changing room to give a general introduction and answer questions, before the actual practice session starts inside the studio at 20:00.
If you come early, please wait for the previous group to leave before entering the place (after their class ends at 19:30), and be a bit quiet as they are chanting or meditating.
Wear comfy clothes, as we sit on cushions and mats. Suggested donation is 5+ CHF for the expenses of the room and NVC Geneva.
