Fall Back into Planting at the Faber Tract near the Palo Alto Baylands (East Palo Alto)

Fall rains have helped loosen up the dirt and get it ready for growing native seedlings. Join the largest wetland restoration project on the West Coast this weekend by helping us plant native seedlings at the Faber Tract near the Palo Alto Baylands. Volunteers will plant native plants, helping us achieve our goal of re-establishing 100,000 acres of Bay wetlands!

Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. From North of Palo Alto:

- Take 880 South.

- Exit 21 towards Dumbarton Bridge.

- Merge onto CA 84 West.

- Turn Left onto University Ave.

- Take 4th Left onto Runnymede.

- You’ll see East Palo Alto Charter School and you can park along either side of the street.

- Walk towards the Bay and follow our Restoration signs.

- Save The Bay staff will meet you here.

For overflow parking:

- Head East on Runnymede.

- Take a left onto Clarke and your first left onto Garden Street.

- Both of these streets run into the Bay.

- The bay trail connects them so walk towards the Bay and follow our Restoration signs. Save The Bay staff will meet you here.

From South of Palo Alto:

- Take US 101 North.

- Exit 403 towards East Palo Alto.

- Merge onto Capitol Ave. Turn right onto Runnymede St.

- You’ll see East Palo Alto Charter School and you can park along either side of the street.

- Walk towards the Bay and follow our Restoration signs.

- Save The Bay staff will meet you here.

For overflow parking:

- Head East on Runnymede.

- Take a left onto Clarke and your first left onto Garden Street.

- Both Runnymede and Garden streets run into the Bay.

- The bay trail connects them so walk towards the Bay and follow our Restoration signs.

The Site is located next to a charter school.

Parking is limited!! Please Carpool! Please visit http://www.pickuppal.com/pup/group/Save-The-Bay to get a carpool group going! Be prepared to be outdoors for the duration of this event and bring a full water bottle- this will help us cut down on plastic waste. We will still run the program in a light rain, weather cancellation is listed below. Plan on arriving 5-10 minutes early to park and get your belongings together. We provide all of the necessary equipment and instruction. Call[masked] in the morning and listen to the outgoing message to check on the status of the trip. This message will be updated only if there is any weather-related cancellation. Our staff often needs to show up on site to determine weather cancellations, so this message should be checked more than once if you are concerned. Call[masked] or[masked] to reach your leaders on the morning of the program. Do not leave valuables in your vehicles during the program. We have had broken windows and thefts occur at two of our programs this year. Let’s make them the last!!!
