Join us for our monthly meetup!

This month, our topic is Geospatial Intelligence, aka GEOINT. We are delighted to co-host this event with the nonprofit U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) Young Professionals Group!

What is GEOINT? GEOINT is harnessing the power of geospatial information in support of national security. Since the DC area is home to perhaps the largest concentration of GEOINT professionals in the world, GeoDC wants to highlight some of the interesting and important work taking place in this sector.

Christine MacKrell from the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation will discuss USGIF’s K-12 geospatial education outreach and Young Professionals Group.

Kolemann Lutz from Frontier Space will discuss trends that are transforming the collection capacity, affordability, resolution, and mission objectives of GEOINT from space.

Zach Chatelain from BAE Systems will discuss open source intelligence (OSINT) and how it is used by GEOINT analysts. The talk will discuss data sources, tools and specific use cases to demonstrate the growing utilization of open source in the GEOINT field.

GeoDC is a fantastic networking and educational opportunity. Everyone is welcome, including experts and beginners.
