What makes you a geonerd?

Let me describe to you a situation that perfectly sums up my geo-nerdiness. While at a bar with girlfriends (whom just so happen to be on the prowl at the time and therefore extra concerned with their cool factor), the television catches my eye. It is a weather channel special about the effects of climate change. I began to rather loudly gush (I am a few drinks in at this point so of course everything is expressed with extra gusto) over how cool this show is. I am trying really hard to get my friends to understand. Apparently it is not cool at all, because 5 years later I am still the butt of many jokes launched that night. :-)

I love my work as a GIS professional and look forward to meeting new people who share this passion. I am a graduate of UMW and currently working on a MS from George Mason. I work for Atkins (PBS&J) in their planning and landscape architecture group.
