Cross posted with the Weekday Trailblazers hiking group:

• What we'll do:
Hike from Dos Vientos Community Park to Conejo Mountain which was part of a volcanic system ~ 15 million years ago. It's cooled off some since. Hike ~6 miles RT and 1300 ft elevation gain. This mostly wide trails and gated dirt roads. The last quarter of a mile to view is steep, narrow and optional.

• What to bring:
Bring water and snacks to share. Be willing to get a good workout! Bring your cellphone, a headlamp or flashlight is always a good idea.

• Important to know
Meet at south end of parking lot. If raining at start of hike I will cancel hike. Dog(s) must be on leash for entire hike.

The hike host is a volunteer and not responsible for the group. Safety should be a priority for everyone in the group. Please treat this meet-up as hiking with a group of friends. If you become fatigued and unable to continue the hike, it is expected you will advise the hike host of this and return to our starting point on your own. If you are able to proceed, it is expected that you will maintain line of sight with other members of the group at all times and help to promote the group’s safety and fitness goals.
