What we're about

CoderDojo Georgetown is a FREE computer club to teach young people (ages 7-17) how to code. Our sessions are located in downtown Georgetown and are open to all local community youth and parents/guardians.

The international CoderDojo (https://coderdojo.com/) movement began in Ireland in 2011 and has spread rapidly around the world!

Important Note: You must be a parent or 18 years of age and older to be a member of this meetup group.

This site is for parents or people over the age of 18 to help us with events and to see how many people to expect at events. If you are under the age of 18, you may not sign up on this site or RSVP for events. Instead, you must have your parent or 18+ guardian do so for you. More importantly, your parent or 18+ guardian must attend all events with you. This is in accordance with Meetup and Coder Dojo policies.

We hope to get the youth excited about the possibilities of technology. First, we need parents and talented coding volunteers to help make these events successful. If you are a tech girl or guy interested in sharing your knowledge with local young people, please contact us .

Can I volunteer if I'm not technical? YES, there are many tasks from registration and check-in or producing fliers. Get in touch with us, we welcome the volunteers.
