The Atlanta Steeplechase

Enjoy the most exciting horse racing in Georgia with family and friends at the best lawn party in the state!

Gates open at 9am and the races start at around 1pm.

Tickets:
General Admission:  $30 available at www.ticketmaster.com or at select Publix Supermarkets. Children age 12 and under are admitted free.

Tailgating and RVs: 
Several tailgating options are available.  Prices range from $280 to $600 for each vehicle and includes up to six guests per space and up to ten guests per RV space.  Spaces sell out quickly.

Boxes:
Picnic Box seating is available.  Price is $480 for four guests.

In addition to horse racing, activities include terrier races, Disc Dog Southern Nationals, pony rides, hay rides and more for family fun!

What can I bring to the general admission area?

General admission guests are welcome to bring in picnic baskets, beverages, blankets, lawn chairs, and just about anything else you can comfortably carry.  However, please remember that glass is not allowed. 

Ladies Hat Parade & Contest

Wear a beautiful or whimsical hat to celebrate the tradition of race day showmanship and the rites of spring by joining the Parade of Hats and the Hat Contest!  Visit the Championship Hat Contest booth – located on “The Terrace” (on the hill above the finish line Tower between the VIP cocktail party tent, Sponsors’ tents and box/guarantor seating) -- to register.


 Driving Directions

From I-75 South of Cartersville
(Atlanta Area)
Take I-75 North to Exit 293. Turn left onto US 411. Go 3.2 miles and turn right onto US 41/411 ramp to Rome. Go 2.9 miles through a couple of traffic signals. Turn right onto US 411 to Rome. Go 12 miles to Gore Spring Road on right. Follow directional signs to parking location.

NOTE: Georgia State Route 20 will be detoured Race Day. DO NOT USE Exit 290.

    I really enjoyed going to Alanta steeplechase race. It was a pleasant day, lovely people, the most beautiful hats, and exciting races. I even managed to find some good food. Can't wait for for the next steeplechase event. Thank you Cella, organizing this wonderful event. :-)

    I will be at the red white souvenir tent at the pedestrian crossing at 12:30p. From there we can walk over to the races which start at 1:30p.

      I went one time at Calloway Gardens with a group. I thought it was like that with tailgating. BUT, that was never said. Just me & my silly imagination. Thanks Cella.

    Dress code: There is no dress code…seersucker to shorts – we see it all. Just make sure your shoes are comfortable....the grounds are absolutely huge, that is why this is not a hosted Meetup. I should be there at noon in time for the races at 1:30p.
