Data Integrator 12c: Cloud, On-Premises and Everything in Between

Are you ready for a State of the Union for Oracle Data Integrator? We'll start by looking at the current release of ODI 12c On-Premises, with great new features including built-in support for Spark Streaming and DevOps capabilities using the new Git Integration. We'll also look at Ground-to-Cloud and Cloud-to-Cloud solutions using both ODI Cloud Services, and On-Premises ODI with it's certifications and support for numerous Cloud services. Finally... we'll discuss when to Cloud... and why.

Stewart is the Owner and Co-founder of Red Pill Analytics, and has been designing and implementing BI systems since 1996. He is an Oracle ACE Director, is an internationally recognized writer and speaker in the Oracle Community, and co-host for the video podcast Real Time BI with Kevin & Stewart. He founded Transcendent Data, Inc. in 2004 to build a consulting practice around his considerable knowledge of best-practices and Oracle BI and DW products. In 2008, he joined Rittman Mead Consulting as the US CEO, and later as the global Chief Innovation Officer. In 2014, along with Kevin McGinley, Stewart founded Red Pill Analytics with the desire to affect a paradigm shift in Oracle BI and DI delivery. 

Oracle GoldenGate 101 – Replication from The Beginning

With the rapid growth of data and the need for real time reporting, the ability to move data from database-to-database between heterogeneous environments is becoming a critical business requirement for organizations. Oracle has positioned Oracle GoldenGate as the only replication tool that can meet these critical business requirements. With the release of Oracle Database 12c, Oracle made the strategic move of Oracle GoldenGate as the replication tool moving into the future. With this move, Oracle takes the replication architecture to new heights. With the ability to replicat to many different environments in many different use cases Oracle GoldenGate is going to be a technology that will be around for a long time. By identifying and understanding what Oracle GoldenGate is capable of doing, the administrator will be able to ensure reliable replication within their environments.

Bobby Curtis is an Infrastructure Principal, Oracle ACE Director, and published author with Accenture Enkitec Group. He serves on various Oracle user group boards and speaks regularly at conferences. He specializes in creating, maintaining, tuning, and integrating enterprise databases to help solve business problems. Bobby hosts a blog,, which is respected as a source of information for solving complex issues related to Oracle technologies. He is also active on Twitter as @DBASolved. During his downtime, Bobby enjoys spending time with his family while traveling to watch his children compete in their respective sports. 45 minutes? Yes…if that. Data Visualization Desktop (DVD) is the perfect companion to an Oracle BI installation, whether it be on-premises or in the cloud. How do you get started with the tool and what can you learn from your own data? We will go through the different parts and offerings of DVD including, creating data sources, creating visualizations, data wrangling, data mashups, and advanced analytics. By the end of the session, the attendee will have enough tools in their data visualization toolbox to find actionable insights from their own data

Sarah Craynon Zumbrum is an Oracle ACE Alumni (Director) and an Oracle Hyperion Certified Implementation Specialist. She is currently a Senior Sales Consultant for Oracle on the Public Sector BI and Analytics team. She has previously worked in-house as a business intelligence architect and as an EPM consultant, specializing in the Hyperion suite of tools. She has spoken at ODTUG’s Kscope, OAUG’s Connection Point, ECO Conference, Chicago OUG, Oracle OpenWorld, and RMOUG’s Training Days. As a previous member of ODTUG’s Board of Directors and Hyperion SIG Board of Directors, she took her graduation from the inaugural ODTUG Leadership Program to heart and loves to serve and help Oracle user groups.
