DATE AND TIME: Friday, November 29-December 1, 2013. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS ONLINE OR CALL ENOTA MOUNTAIN RETREAT TO RESERVE YOUR CAMPSITE IN THE ADULT CAMPING AREA:[masked]-9966.

CHECK IN TIME: FRIDAY, November 29, 2013: @ 2:00 p.m.

FEES FOR PRIMITIVE ADULT CAMPSITE: $35.00/per night

PRIMITIVE CAMPSITES LOCATION: On the stream farthest away from the pop-up tent area and the RV area.

PLEASE SEE MAP OF AREA: http://www.enota.com/enota_campground_map.htm

CAMPSITES: 67, 68 and 69 and 71-79 are the best campsites according to Dr. Swann at Enota. We plan to book campsite #69 near one of the small waterfalls.

PET FEE: $5.00 per night.

CHILDREN: No children are allowed in the adult section; however, 16-year-old's and up are allowed in this area.

FEE for an extra vehicle to be at your campsite: $5.00.

FEE for an extra tent to be at your campsite: $10.00.

FIREWOOD FEE: $5.00/bundle.

If you wish to purchase firewood you may do so when you book your reservation or you may purchase on site upon your arrival. No outside firewood is allowed.

There are no refunds once the reservation is booked.

BATHROOMS, SHOWER, ETC: There is a bathroom/shower building with a washing machine/dryer on the property; however, it will be a hike from the Adult Camping area. The water is heated in the shower. (I realize it may not be considered 'primitive camping' due to a bathroom/shower/washing machine/dryer on site). :-)

There is also a fire ring and picnic table at each campsite.

Description of trail and area: There is moderate hiking in the area.

PLEASE NOTE:

Bring waterproof hiking boots or sandals so you can wade through the creek if we hike to other areas where they may be needed.

ITINERARY:

Friday: Check in time: 2:00 p.m.

We will take a small hike to the two waterfalls in the area after we set up camp, then have dinner. Please bring your own food and beverages.

Saturday: We can drive over to Moccasin Creek Waterfalls to hike in this area, or we can go to the A.T. and hike the trail from Enota as the A.T. trail is 1.5 miles to reach it from the Enota property, or we just hang out at our campsites and listen to the tumbling water from the small waterfall and stream; whatever the group decides to do. These are just suggestions...

Sunday: Check out time is 11:00 a.m. We will have breakfast (again bring your own food and beverages), then we will pack up.

Pets: A pet's attendance is welcome. Please keep him/her on a leash at all times. Please make sure your pet is on a leash at all times. Please bring baggies to clean up after your pet and be sure to bring plenty of water for your pet.

Weather: This adventure will NOT be cancelled. If it rains the day before, there will be MUD!

Questions: If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask here or feel free to email me at: [masked].

What an awesome camping trip with just my husband and our new friend, Mark. It was cold on Friday, not so much on Saturday though. The hike was fun, food was excellent and company was fabulous!

There is a 10 person limit and if you have not yet made your reservations for this camping trip, please do so right away if you wish to stay with our group. If you do not wish to stay with our group, please change to RSVP to not attending. There are several other areas in the campgrounds that folks can camp at; however, there are a limited number of camp sites at the waterfall where we will be staying.

It bites you can't bring your own wood...if you get cold be sure you have enough blankets to stay warm. I'm planning us a hike in the AT.
