Okefenokee Adventure Weekend

Join the Georgia Conservancy for a weekend trip to one of the most beautiful places in Georgia: the Suwannee River in the Okefenokee Swamp. The difficulty level is rated at medium (guests are expected to paddle several miles on the Suwannee River).

We’ll spend the weekend on the West side of the Okefenokee in the Stephen C. Foster State Park. Guests have the opportunity to stay in either a cabin ($225 a person, double occupancy) or a tent or RV ($125 a person).

This price includes a canoe (with paddle and personal flotation device), two evening meals and two guided tours through the Okefenokee.

Check-in will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the state park. All guests must arrive by 10:00 p.m.

Guests staying in the cabins will be expected to share a kitchen area with one or two tent campers.

Please complete your registration on the Georgia Conservancy website.

The weather was perfect and the Okefenokee was beautiful. Add great friends and good food to that mix and you just can't improve it.

@Jamie - this is an incredible trip! You should get a group of friends to go in on a cabin together. It is a blast!
