Downtown Columbus Chattahoochee Paddle

Heartland Rivers of Georgia Paddle Series is back!

Beat the summer heat with a morning paddle on the Chattahoochee River in Columbus, Ga. with the Georgia Conservancy, Georgia Canoeing Association and The Outside World Columbus.

Our group will meet in Columbus at Rotarty Park and head downstream past Oxbow Meadows to the Uchee Creek Marina at Ft. Mitchell - a trip totaling 16 miles down the Chattahoochee. This is a FULL DAY paddle. We will be sore and smiling when we get off the river. Make sure to bring plenty of water, sun screen and a lunch!

On Saturday at 5:30 p.m., we will host a post-paddle cocktail party at The Loft, directly across from The Outside World, in downtown Columbus.

The Columbus Paddle is one of our four "Heartland Rivers of Georgia" trips featuring camping, paddling and stewardship in south and central Georgia. The series brings to light conservation efforts, economic development and recreational opportunities on the Flint, Chattahoochee, Ocmulgee, and Altamaha Rivers.

A special thanks to Uptown Columbus, the Chattahoochee Paddling Club and the Chattahoochee RiverWarden for their hard work protecting this river and promoting Columbus, GA as a eco-tourism destination.

Nearby camping and RV parks: Lake Pines RV Park

$25 per person, $40 per couple, $50 per family (of four or less).
