This is a spectacular but challenging walk promising stunning views for most of the walk with steep climbs, declines and uphill tracks.
It's suitable for people who are used to more challenging terrain and longer distances. There will always be catching up points along the way, so please go at your own pace up the hills.
Join me on an 11 mile walk with spectacular panoramic views of the Derwent, Hope Valley, Mam Tor and Kinder Scout.
The walk starts from Hathersage Village, to Lees Hall, then a steady climb up onto the iconic Stanage Edge Cliffs. After descending, we climb up our second hill, Higger Tor. Eventually going onto Callow Bank, Toothill Farm and back to Hathersage.
Bring a packed lunch which we hope to have on Stanage Edge.
Not forgetting plenty of water to keep hydrated.
An extra layer with you as it can be chilly and breezy on the edges.
Walking poles are useful going up and down hills.
Walking boots are essential, not trainers!
Dogs are always welcome..🐾🐾🐾 😊
Toilets at the start in Hathersage and at North Lees if they're open.
This is a car share walk so please post a message if anyone is willing to offer a lift.
Saving on travel costs is beneficial for everyone.
