What we're about

This group is for those who would like to meet new people and make new friends.

Are you new to London? Have close friends married, had children or moved away? Maybe a relationship has ended and you feel you’re not as connected? Or do you just want more diverse friends with new interests?

We know from our own experiences that taking the first steps to meet new people and build friendships can be difficult - that’s where this group comes in.

Some of the events we’re planning over the coming months will include…

- Regular drinks

- Sunday brunch & dinners

- Art/cultural visits

- Comedy nights

- Walks and day trips outside London

There’ll be no admin charge for joining any of our events – just RSVP and pitch up ready to join in the conversation. We'll do our best to make everyone feel welcome and part of the night.

We’d love this to be an active group and welcome your ideas for future events. And if you’d like to host an event, just drop us a line.

Sign up for one of our events today.

We look forward to meeting you!

Saturday afternoon picnic - Greenwich park

Greenwich Park

Let’s enjoy everything London and its green spaces have to offer. This will be the first of hopefully many picnics What to expect The aim is to merely bring a group of people together to enjoy one of London’s many wonderful green spaces when the weather permits . It will be an informal event where members arrive as early or as late as a they wish and stay for as long as suits them. Some members may also want to head off for a drink together as the sun sets. What to bring There are no rules, just arrive with what you want to bring. There is no expectation that you bring food and/or drink for others. You might want to bring something to sit on. We'll bring a frisbee for anyone who fancies a game. How to find us The pin above may not illustrate the exact spot we decide to meet. This information will be shared nearer the date of the event. We'll pick a spot which caters for those wishing to sit in the sun and the shade.

Saturday Evening at the Porterhouse in Covent Garden

The Porterhouse Covent Garden

Come and join us for a lively night at the Porterhouse in Covent Garden. What can I expect? This is a long established bar in the heart of buzzy Covent Garden. According to the owners it's one of the largest bars in London but it doesn’t feel that way with lots of cosy booths and snugs so you can still strike up a conversation. The beer menu is also vast with a range award winning kegs, casks and bottles including Oyster Stout, Wrasslers 4X Stout and Plain Portery. For those finding their way afresh in The Porterhouse there is a sampler tray of nine beers which should be a sound pointer. Spirit lovers are also spoilt for choice – check out the Dingle Whiskey bar with up to 200 whiskeys to choose from or visit the cocktail bar. More info about the venue: https://www.porterhouse.london/ For those that want to end their night on a livelier note, head down to the buzzy basement bar to enjoy the live music from a range of acts - always a great party atmosphere. How to find us: We'll post details of how to find our table nearer the time. We look forward to seeing you there! David & Sarah
