Hike Details - This is the annual Black Friday #Opt Outside hike. Rather than spending the morning waiting in lines at a local Best Buy or Target, let's go spend the day outside on the trail. We are going to meet before 8:15 AM at the North Research Park to form carpools to the Wolf Gap Campground and Recreation Area near the Virginia-West Virginia border. Upon our arrival, we are going to start the steepest part of this hike by climbing up to the ridge line using the Mill Mountain Trail. We are going to continue on the Mill Mountain Trail to the intersection with the Big Schloss Trail. We will turn right onto the Big Schloss Trail, and make the short climb up to the main overlook that will provide us with a nearly 360 degree view from Big Schloss. After soaking in the views and taking a whole lot of picture, we are going to retrace our steps back down to the Wolf Gap Campground. We are going to cross the road, and continue on the Tibbet Knob Trail up to the nearly 270 degree views from Tibbet Knob. After soaking in the amazing views from Tibbet Knob, we will retrace our steps back down to the Wolf Gap Campground. Please both of the hike links below before signing up for this hike.

As is tradition with my hikes, there will be an optional post hike at a local brewery/restaurant after the hike. Carpools can be arranged accordingly for those, who wish to partake in the post hike.

What to Bring - Broken in hiking boots, trekking poles, lunch and snacks, $5 for your driver if not driving, layers of clothing for cold weather hiking, 2 to 3 liters of water, camera/phone for multiple photo opportunities.
