We are going back in April 2018. So much more to see!

Fri, Apr-06 DEPART THE UNITED STATES Depart your JFK Airport and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.

Land at Dublin Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities before meeting your CIE Tours driver/guide, who will welcome you to Ireland. Transfer to your nearby hotel and check in for your overnight stay.

Enjoy the remainder morning and afternoon at leisure in Dublin, where you can choose from a wide variety of pursuits. You may use your Hop on Hop off pass to visit a number of places.
Also using your vouchers you may either visit the Guinness Storehouse or the General Post Office. If you choose to visit the Guinness Storehouse see exhibits on how this world famous stout was first created and also enjoy a sample of the finished product. If you decide to visit the General Post Office on O'Connell Street, learn about its role in the Easter Rising and how it was left in ruins. There are also plenty of museums and shops you may like to visit. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome drink before dining on your own.

Sun, Apr-08 DUBLIN HIGHLIGHTS Set off with a local guide who will show you around Dublin. The city has been molded through the centuries with many architectural styles, reflecting the economic, political and artistic influences. Stop at Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, an 8th century illuminated manuscript of the gospels and see the Old Library. Next, visit Teeling Distillery, Dublin’s newest distillery in the heart of the city, and sample the aged whiskey. The afternoon is free to sightsee and shop. Tonight, enjoy a dinner of Irish specialties followed by a lively show of traditional Irish music, songs and displays of step-dancing. OVERNIGHT: CAMDEN COURT HOTEL, DUBLIN

Mon, Apr-09 ROCK OF CASHEL Leaving Dublin, travel into County Tipperary and stop at the Rock of Cashel for a guided tour of these majestic church ruins, which are clustered high on a limestone outcrop overlooking the surrounding countryside. Next, motor a short distance to a local farm to sample homemade scones with tea. You will have an opportunity to chat to the owners and learn how Irish farms are run. Then drive to Blarney, where you can climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous "Stone of Eloquence." From Blarney, journey through the rugged countryside to Killarney. After checking into your hotel, you may wish to take a short stroll through the charming town before dinner at the hotel restaurant with your group. DINNER & OVERNIGHT: KILLARNEY AVENUE HOTEL, KILLARNEY

Tue, Apr-10 DINGLE PENINSULA DRIVE Today, discover the beauties of the Dingle Peninsula, once described by the National Geographic Traveler as “the most beautiful place on earth.” Drive along the south shore of the peninsula for plenty of vistas of heathery mountains, sandy stretches of beach, stunning green landscapes and rocky headlands. There will be frequent stops at strategic locations to admire the views and take photos. Continue on to Slea Head at the western tip of the peninsula. This excursion will give you excellent views of mountains and coastline and looking over to the Iveragh Peninsula. Then, at the base of Conor Pass, stop at the Dingle Brewing Company. Learn about the brewery's rich and varied past before sampling a pint of this local lager. Then head to Inch for an early dinner at Foley's Bar and Restaurant before returning to Killarney to enjoy the balance of the evening at leisure. OVERNIGHT: KILLARNEY AVENUE HOTEL, KILLARNEY

Wed, Apr-11 CLIFFS OF MOHER & GALWAY Departing Killarney, drive to Tarbert and take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary. Next, travel along the coast of County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most beloved, natural landmarks. See magical vistas, overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Ireland’s Western coastline. Continue to Galway, where you will join a local guide for a gentle walking tour. See the medieval city walls, Lynch’s Castle and the narrow streets. Then check into your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay. DINNER & OVERNIGHT: HOTEL MEYRICK, GALWAY

Thu, Apr-12 ARAN ISLANDS & DUN AENGUS Take a short ferry ride from Rossaveal to Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands. These rocky islands are renowned for the hardy islanders who maintained traditional fishing and farming. The Irish language is still spoken widely. Next, take a minibus ride to Dun Aengus, a huge pre-historic fortress perched on sheer cliffs, which fall away to the Atlantic Ocean below. Have a look around Kilronan, before heading back to your hotel, where you will have some free time to freshen up before tonight’s festivities. Tonight, head to Dunguaire Castle, a beautifully restored 15th century castle for an evening that focuses on Ireland’s literary heritage. After a sumptuous meal, enjoy music, song and extracts from the works of major Irish writers. OVERNIGHT: HOTEL MEYRICK, GALWAY

Fri, Apr-13 NATIONAL STUD & K CLUB FREE TIME Leaving Galway, journey to Kildare and visit the Irish National Stud. While here, you will learn the history and current trends of horse-breeding in Ireland. See some of the magnificent horses and learn about horse-breeding. Then take a walk around the truly spectacular Japanese Gardens, an artistic representation of the "Life of Man" from cradle to grave. Then transfer to your nearby luxurious hotel and check in. Once you settle into your room, you are free to use the amenities that your hotel property offers. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a superb farewell dinner. DINNER & OVERNIGHT: K CLUB HOTEL, KILDARE

Sat, Apr-14 RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES Sadly, today your vacation has come to its final day. Transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check in for your flight.
