The lecturers:

Dr. Gil Avnimelech, Head of the Entrepreneurship Club and Senior Lecturer at Ono Academic College. He is a researcher who teaches and consults on entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, business development, regional development, and innovation and technology policy.

Dr. Talia Miron - Schatz, Head of the Institute for medical decisions at Ono Academic College and CEO of Cure My Way, investigates the understanding and involvement of patients in their health and develops digital tools to produce behavioral change among health consumers.

Talia will review common psychological failures of doctors and patients, as identified in her research on cancer, FDA warnings and more. Following this, she will offer four golden rules for developers of digital tools to ensure understanding and motivation of users and create real change in behavior over time.

Dr. Ben Gross, MD, Consultant in Business Intelligence (BI) and Medical Content in Healarium. Graduated Hebrew University School of Medicine and academic reserve program of the IDF. Active in the field of medical information systems for nearly a decade and was involved in characterization and development of many systems, especially to overseas markets

The lecture:

Ben will show the dramatic changes taking place in the medical world today and the centrality of Health Information Technology.

Around the world there are attempts to solve problems in the health economy while improving the level of care quality. Emerging trends will require an unprecedented investment in computerized information systems and innovative and creative solutions.

Already, for example, the U.S. government spends billions of dollars to promote the use of computerized medical records by physicians in hospitals and in the community. On the patient side we have witnessed an explosion in the number ofl medical applications for mobile devices and access to vast amounts of medical information. Many other fascinating areas are the imminent.

Ben will explore the issues through real cases from the field, and show Israel's outstanding reputation and the great potential of Israeli entrepreneurship in this industry.

The Entrepreneurship Club of Ono Academic College meets once a month and allows students, alumni, faculty and friends of Ono Academic College to participate in lectures on entrepreneurship from industry leaders, present projects and meet other entrepreneurs in town. The club began on January 2011.
